Rail Engineering Company Makes Key Sales Appointment

PR Log (Press Release) – Feb 22, 2010 – Suppliers of electro-mechanical systems to the rail industry, Rowe Hankins, has strengthened their presence in central England with the appointment of Steve Ireland, a rail professional with almost 30 years experience in the industry.  As business development manager Steve will work with designers and engineers in train makers, operating companies and rolling stock owners.

Starting his career with British Rail Engineering (BREL) in Derby, Steve gained experience with British Rail, Alstom Trains, Virgin Trains and Bombardier in technical procurement roles.  A member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply, Steve’s role for Rowe Hankins will be to promote safety related systems including high integrity circuit breakers, speed monitoring equipment, on-train monitoring and recording instruments OTMRS, wheel flange lubrication.

“Steve brings a vast amount of experience to our team.  We are impressed not just by his knowledge but his positive approach, which will help us cement even stronger partnerships with our rail clients,” concluded sales director Mike Hankins.
