Ci Munro - The Driving Force Behind Protecting Childrens Smiles

PRLog (Press Release) – Sep 08, 2009 – Iconic New Zealand motorhome manufacturer Ci Munro is all smiles as they announce their specialist transport engineering arm, Action Motor Bodies (AMB), has secured a three year contract to complete 94 mobile oral health dental surgeries as part of the District Health Board's Child and Adolescent Oral Health project.
Taking a fresh approach to dental clinics, the new mobile units will replace traditional stationary clinics at schools throughout New Zealand. The initiative will save costs and allow the DHB to service more schools in more areas increasing the number of students who receive dental care.
All of the 94 vans are being built by AMB to surgical standards and are compliant with all criteria for patient areas of hospitals, both medical and dental. The design of the mobile units has been no mean feat, presenting a number of challenges that AMB's design and build expertise have overcome; maximum internal space with minimum external dimensions is required, functionally to allow enough space for the surgery and logistically to keep the curb weight at a level suitable for class one license holders.  Each unit is also visually impressive, not only due to the clinical fitout, but the innovative design concepts AMB has incorporated.
"One of the most intriguing parts of the build was keeping the children in mind at every stage of the process, the units are customised for their comfort. To keep things cool or hot inside there's an inverter heat pump mounted under the body just behind the access steps, and the steps themselves have been designed along with a removable guardrail so they are suitable for small children access," says Chris Devoy, AMB Business Unit Manager.
"Attention to detail has been paramount, with the door closed it really is like being in a dental surgery," he says.
With its considerable experience in the transport engineering industry, AMB has risen to the challenge of designing and building such specialised units.  Grant Webster, CEO of Tourism Holdings Ltd (thl) that owns both the Ci Munro and Action Motor Bodies says, "We have been very pleased with the way in which the AMB crew have once again shown the significant skill and expertise required in building these sophisticated and smartly designed units, it's a great testament to the thl team."
The contract will see AMB build four different configurations of the mobile dental units; a level one assessment unit intended for screening and three different configurations of the surgery units for treating those children who do require dental work.
The split comprises of 44 DHB level one units, and 50 larger units. The contract is a great win for the business who are looking forward to being a part of improving children's dental health nationwide.

Following Trend, Another IES Customer, Lilly & Associates, Reports 25% Productivity Increase

PRLog (Press Release) – Sep 08, 2009 – "For years, the effectiveness of Lilly & Associates International financial operations and business processes were constrained by off-the-shelf software and manual processes," continues Ms. Agras, "Other accounting products simply lacked the scalability needed by such a fast-growing, international business. Accounting processes were bottlenecked by cumbersome workflow, requiring spreadsheets to be e-mailed around the company. The company needed a modern, nimble partner for its accounting needs in order to stay focused and effective. But we did not want to pay the $250,000 estimated cost to install and maintain traditional on-premise software. IES is an excellent technology partner, with just the right combination of scalability, flexibility, and cost-effectiveness."
"After a series of product rollouts from IES, our accounting group is 25% more productive. The flexibility and convenience of one integrated software package that includes accounting has given us deeper and more immediate insight into the company's direction and financial processes. Now we can analyze the performance of each of our individual branch offices in the United States and throughout South America. The bottom line is that we now have an advanced system for our financial controls and yet we still find the system intuitive and easy to use. We are able to get new users up-to-speed very quickly, and that is crucial as our overseas expansion continues."

How iPod Car Adapters Enrich The Life of Music Lovers Everywhere

PRLog (Press Release) – Aug 27, 2009 – No more commercial interruptions, or songs you really don't like!  Unlike radios, these little inventions mean that even when you go on lengthy trips, you won't lose your signal.
People have always been in love with music, some more than others.  Are you one of those that believes that driving in a car with no music is like eating a hot dog with no mustard?  Somehow, it is un-American - it's just not right.  Driving along in silence can be the most boring thing in the world, especially if you are going very far.
The invention of iPods a few years back set the world on fire.  How cool was that?  You could create your own playlist, and listen to only the songs you wanted to hear, with no commercials in between.  Great.  Outstanding.  Unbelievable.  The only drawback?  You couldn't listen in your car, which is often the place that you really want to listen to your music the most.
iPod car adapters make it so that you can listen to your favorites in almost any make or model of vehicle you drive.  Even if you have a vehicle that is nearly antique to your way of thinking, you can adapt it so that you can listen to your own special mix of music.  Essentially, an adapter takes your iPod and directs all of your favorites through the speakers in your car.  There are various ways this is done, some simple and some a little more complex.
Depending upon whether your car has a cassette or compact disc player, there are options that let you listen to your playlist endlessly.  A cassette adapter is the easiest to install, and you can most likely do it yourself.  However, the sound quality with this type is not as outstanding, but it is still an option you may want to consider to avoid listening to the radio stations play the same songs every couple of hours.
The more expensive ( http://www.autosoundcentral.com) iPod interface adapters do play with perfect sound quality.  The clear digital sound is truly amazing, and will make you wonder why you ever listened to your radio in the first place.  If you simply cannot do without your music when you travel, try one of these kits.  You will be trying to think of reasons why you need to get in your car and go!
